A batch is the equivalent of 15 small boxes of popcorn or 5 Large boxes. It usually is enough for a party of 15-20 people to munch on. Great for Birthdays, Movies, Parties, Events, Football viewing the Oscars, Netflix, for any occasion really! The shelf life is approximately 10 days from the day of manufacture. We ship the day of manufacture to get it to you as fresh as possible!
Buttered Popcorn (Individual Bags)
We take our Buttered popcorn and then heat-seal the corn in two conveniently proportioned bags for individual or small group servings. Heat sealing helps preserve and extend freshness, consistency, and taste. Small bags are a great individual snack equivalent to a small box of popcorn. Large bags are equivalent to our large box of popcorn that can satisfy between 1-3 people. Heat sealing extends the Popcorn shelf life to 2 weeks from the date of manufacture but as always we recommend consuming as quickly as possible as our popcorn has an ethereal quality that makes the experience better closer to the manufacture date.
Molasses Caramel Popcorn Brittle
Caramel corn to die for! Another 100+ year old recipe hand down though the ages. Our most labor intensive popcorn confection. Cooked to the edge of burning to infuse the corn with a subtlety complex sweet, salty, smoky flavor that makes this corn unique and memorable. Our most underrated product.
A variation of the 19th century Popcorn Ball. Our grandfather, Ralph E Hobbs, created a method utilizing a custom popcorn grinder in conjunction with a custom popcorn hydraulic press to make these unique treats from the 1930's onward. We still utilize Ralph's custom equipment today. The Corn is shaped into 1" x 1" x 6" bars wrapped in wax paper to keep out moisture and humidity. A tasty and unique snack still pleasing to all in the 21st century too!
Tri Colored Carnival Corn
The recipe for our Carnival corn has its origin in New York's Coney Island from the late 19th century. It is a mixture of Vanilla, Chocolate, and Wintergreen (Chicoberry for you old timers) sugar corn. It comes in two sized heat sealed bags. This recipe has been passed down through 4 generations of Hobbses, and is much beloved by an equal amount of generations of customers.
Wintergreen Sugar Corn
One of three flavors of our Carnival Corn. The demand for this flavor dictated that we sell just the Pink corn separately. The flavor is sweet and Minty as the Birch oil creates a strong and distinctive flavor that people keep coming back for. Also sold in two different sized heat sealed bags. Wintergreen has become our most popular flavored popcorn with long time local customers and more recent gastro intestinal explorers.
